With the brand new Northwest Florida International Airport in Panama City scheduled to open in May 2010, this once laid-back southern beach town is set to become one of America’s top vacation destinations. The low-cost carrier Southwest Airlines announced it will begin service to the new Northwest Florida-Panama City International Airport when it opens in May, meaning affordable fares and greater accessibility to visitors from further afield. As we get closer to the opening date, the new PFN airport will be announcing services from additional carriers and to/from numerous destinations. Watch this space for details!
